Teacher Staff and Student Survial Kits or Ideas

Updated May 1, 2005

Dear Mrs. Smith (teacher's name):
I have to admit, Gina (student's name) did not exactly shake her (POM POMS)
when she found out she had you for a teacher. Rumor had it that your gave
out (MOUNDS) of homework. But when she actually saw how much you did give,
she thought her eyes were playing (TWIX) on her! It was (GOOD & PLENTY) and
she thought you were (NUTRAGEOUS)!!
It turns out that you were a (LIFESAVER), because her (SKOR)'s were so high,
I thought I had (DOTS) in front of my eyes!!
So, as our thanks to you, we are going to go to Mr. (WHATCHAMACALLIT) (the
principal) and ask him to give you a bonus of, let's say (100 GRAND), on
(PAYDAY) for being such a Great Teacher.!
Have a (CAREFREE) Summer, and here's a few (NIPS) for you to enjoy either
(NOW OR LATER),
(HUGS & KISSES)
Love,
Your Name

Give with a pot and seeds:

Teachers are the gardeners
Of our kindergarten tots
We send them off to school to learn,
Some soil in their pots.
We've put in a little seed
And now it starts to grow
As they learn from their teachers,
In these gardens that they sow.
the stock- it gets stronger
And then you'll see a bloom.
Soon each and every pot
Starts to blossom in the room.
teachers are the gardeners
of these little flower pots--
As we send them off to school,
Our precious little tots!

Give a Rose with this message:
A teacher is a special blessing sent from up above.
Her patient understanding, reflects God's endless love.
A teacher watches proudly as each student's knowledge grows,
Unfolding every moment like the petals of a rose!

Give with Apples:
For a Most 'Appeeling' Teacher!
You plant the seeds of wisdom with patience and concern,
and your efforts all bear fruit as your students grow and learn.
You offer them good food for thought,
you care right to the core-
and there's just no better teacher than the one this apple's for!

* This is what the kids and I did last year for teacher/bus driver, etc
gifts ...
This evening the kids and I are making star-shaped sugar cookie cutouts.
Will frost and add star-shaped multi-colored sprinkles. Will cut out a
big yellow star-shaped card to write a note of appreciation, then tuck
in the "Star Polisher" writing for the kids' classroom teachers. The
kids are excited about delivering these tomorrow morning! ~Dori~
The Star Polisher
I have a great job in the universe of occupations.
What do I do?
I'm a star polisher.
It's a very important job. If you want to know how important, just go
out at night and look at the stars twinkling and sparkling.
You see, I'm a teacher. The stars are the children in my class. My job
is to take them in--in whatever shape they come--and shine and buff them
and send them out to take their places as bright little twinkling
beacons in the sky. They come into my room in all shapes and sizes.
Sometimes they are bent, tarnished, dirty, crinkly, and thorny. As I
buff, polish, train and teach my
little stars, I tell them that the world cannot do without them. I tell
them they can do anything they can set their minds to do. I tell them
they can be the brightest, shiniest stars in the sky and the
world will be a better place because of them.
Each night as I look at the sky, I'm reminded of my very important job
and awesome responsibility. I go get my soft buffing cloth and my bottle
of polish in preparation for tomorrow and my class of stars.
